This Website is a free service of the American Rose Society’s Good Earth R.O.S.E. Committee. The following people provide the driving force behind this web site:
Bonnie Shoultz is an organic rosarian and award winning exhibitor along with her husband, Jack. They have always maintained their garden as a team effort and as exhibitors share the work and glory together. As long-time friends of Jean Kenneally, they were particularly honored to win the Miniature English Box class trophy with the rose “Jean Kenneally” that they grew organically. When it comes to rose arranging, however, Bonnie leaves that art, talent, and showing to Jack while she works behind the scenes as his best critic and Oasis preparer.
Bonnie has been an active board member of both the East County (California) Rose Society and the San Diego Rose Society, including terms as secretary, show chair, assistant show chair, and vice-president of membership. She was Assistant Rose Show Chair for the San Diego National in 2004. She has received Bronze Medals for outstanding contributions and service from both the San Diego Rose Society and the East County Rose Society. In 2004, she received the Presidential award for outstanding service to the American Rose Society from then president Marilyn Wellan.
Bonnie is a prolific and knowledgeable writer, and co-edited the East County Rose Society newsletter for two years. Her monthly columns Rosy Hips, Rosy Petals, and In My Garden ran for many years.
In addition to helping tend 500+ organically grown roses, Bonnie cares for her four grandsons.
